Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires, city tour in the afternoon
Arrival at the airport of Buenos Aires at 07.35 in the morning. Transfer to the hotel with early check-in and time to rest until lunch. After lunch, we will attend a city tour through Buenos Aires in a private bus with guide.

Day 2: Buenos Aires - Departure to Iguazú
We will drive from the hotel to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery of the city of Buenos Aires to take the flight to Iguazú. From there we accompany you to the hotel and you have time for yourself.

Day 3: Iguazu Falls: Argentina & drive through the Iguazu River
Today we will visit the Iguazu National Park, founded in 1934 with the aim of protecting the waterfalls of Iguazú and the biodiversity that surrounds it (67,610 ha). The park was declared a World Heritage Site in 1984 and the falls were declared as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. In addition to the incredible 275 waterfalls of up to 80 meters in height, of which 80% are on the Argentine side, we can also explore the subtropical surrounding forest. The flora here is unique and houses some rare plants such as Curupay, the Cupay and the Seibo, whose flower is the national flower of the country, and trees such as the palmetto and the rosewood. The fauna is made up of more than 400 species of birds, home to thousands of colorful butterflies and endangered animals such as the Yaguaret, the Tapir and the large anteater.
You can walk the many paths and explore many different things at different heights. Further down you have direct contact with the nature, on the upper paths you have a wonderful view over the area and on the Garganta del Diablo you can feel the power of the water and admire the waterfalls.

Day 4: Waterfalls of Iguazú: Brasil

Today we take a look at the waterfalls from the Brazilian side. Here we can discover many different species of birds, butterflies, flowers and animals. The walkways of about 1,200 meters allow us to enjoy a magnificent view of the waterfalls. At the end of the pedestrian bridge is the viewpoint Garganta del Diablo, which we reach via a staircase or panoramic lift. From here you can take beautiful photos. This side of the Falls is home to some endangered species such as the Giant Otter, Anteater, Jaguars, Red Deer and the Yellow Alligator. We can also find native flowers such as orchids, bromeliads and an endless number of butterflies. After that, we will head to the transfer, which will take us to the exit of the park.

Day 5: Iguazu - Salta

The day is at leisure and in the evening we will drive to Salta.

Day 6: Salta, city tour in the afternoon
In the morning, you can enjoy breakfast and discover the region. In the afternoon, we will take a tour of the city and visit the main attractions of Salta: the historic center, the Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cathedral and the Cabildo, the San Francisco church and the San Bernardo monastery, the San Bernardo hill, the monument from Güemes, the old craft market, the river Baqueros, the cultural center of America, the Minor, the stream of Catellano and the villa of San Lorenzo.

Day 7: Salta - Cafayate, Calchaquies Valley
Our tour starts in Salta and takes us south on the RN68. We will cross Cerrillos, La Merced, El Carril, Quebrada del Río Las Conchas and stop at various geological formations such as La Garganta del Diablo and El Obelisco and at the Amphitheater. In Cafayate we have time for lunch and visit two wineries and the Calchaquíes Valley.

Day 8: Cafayate - Quebrada de las Flechas - Cachi Campo Quijano
Today we will see an impressive landscape along Route 40! We leave Calafate, pass the Quebrada de las Flechas and drive to Cachi.

Day 9: Campo Quijano - San Antonio de las Cobres

From Campo Quijano we start with the destination San Antonio de las Cobres, where we will spend the night.

Day 10: San Antonio de las Cobres - Viaducto la Polvorilla por tren de las nubes - Salines grande - Purmamarca
Today we start a tour in the "Train of the Clouds" (Tren de las Nudes) from the train station San Antonio to the viaduct of Polvorilla. The journey takes one hour to reach the viaduct at 4,200 meters, where you can see the impressive engineering work of the last century. Then we return to San Antonio de los Cobres, where we arrive at 2 pm and have lunch. Then we visit the Salinas. Finally, we continue by car to Purmamarca.

Day 11: Purmamarca - Salta

From Purmamarca we cross the large salt lake and visit the Cerro de los siete colores, a spectacular ecological rock formation in Purmamarca. On the way we will come to Posta de Hornillo, Tilacara and Huacalera. We will continue the journey to Uquia to visit the church of Uquia, where we can see paintings of the School of Cusco, known as the Los Angeles Arcabuceros. Then we visit Humahuaca, a beautiful town with narrow streets that represent the culture of Coya. The Quebrada de Humahuaca was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003 for its historical and cultural background. Here we visit the Freedom Monument and the Cathedral.

Day 12: Purmamarca - La Quiaca
From Purmamarca we cross the Cerro de los Siete Colores. On the way we pass the Posta de Hornillos, Tilacara and Huacalera. Our journey continues to Uquia, where we visit the church, where we can see pictures of the angels Arcabuceros. Then we visit Humahuaca, a beautiful city with narrow streets and an ancient cultural history.
La Quebrada de Humahuaca was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 for its historical and cultural background. Here we visit the Freedom Monument and the Cathedral.

Day 13: La Quiaca - Villazon - Tupiza

Today we will leave Quiaca, drive to Tupiza and cross the border between Argentina and Bolivia. Once in Tupiza, we take a hike to the Devil's Gorge and the valley de Vergel. Then we return to Tupiza to spend the night there.

Day 14: Tupiza - San Pablo de Lipez - Quetena Chico

After breakfast we climb from Tupiza to Palala on the beautiful hill Ashlar, where we can see a variety of rock formations and craters, almost as if you were on the moon. Continue to the mining areas Nazarenito, Chilcobija, Cerrillos and Polulos, and to the river of San Pablo. In the village of San Antonio we visit the colonial ruins that make the city look ghostly. From there it goes on to the tower, to the lagoon of Morejon and finally to Quetena Chico.

Day 15: Quetena Chico - Laguna Verde - Laguna Colorada - Villmar
In the morning we will say goodbye to Quetena Chico and drive to the lagoon of Hedionda and the lagoon of Kollpa, then we cross the little Salar de Challvri until we come to the mineral springs where you can swim. Then we will cross the Dalí Desert, where we can admire fabulous rock formations until we reach Laguna Blanca, as well as the fantastic Laguna Verde, which lies at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano (5960m altitude). We will reach the 5000 meter altitude step by step and see on the way geysers and volcanic craters. In the afternoon we arrive at the beautiful colorful lagoon (Laguna Colorada), where we will take a short walk to see the flamingos and finally we will visit the property in Villamar near the Laguna Colorada.

Day 16: Villa Mar - Laguna Colorada - Laguna Verde - San Pedro de Atacama
Today we leave our accommodation at 4 o'clock in the morning to enjoy the sunrise near the geysers. Then we continue to the thermal baths of Polques. We will have breakfast at the foot of Licancabur volcano and walk to the white and green lagoons. Overnight in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 17: San Pedro - Valley of the Moon
This morning you will have time to enjoy San Pedro. In the afternoon, we head to the salt statue "Las Tres Marias" in the Valley of the Moon, visit the salt mine below and watch the sunset from the sand dune.

Day 18: San Pedro
Today you have a day off and can discover the surrounding area.

Day 19: San Pedro - Calama - Return home
