It is located only 11 km from the city. We will be able to appreciate within its limits lakes, lagoons and rivers, and its exit towards the Beagle Channel, a characteristic that differentiates it from the other national parks of our country. From the port, along Maipú Avenue towards the southwest on National Route No. 3, we will drive through the outskirts of the city until we reach the slopes of Mount Susana, witness of the work of the convicts of the old prison, where the station of the Fuegian Southern Railroad is located. Here we will stop for this optional tour. Then we continue along the Pipo River valley until the detour to enter Ensenada Bay, where we will be able to contemplate the Redonda and Estorbo Islands and on the other coast of the Beagle Channel the Nevados de la Cadena Sampaio Mountains (Chile). On the way back to route 3, along a narrow road that shows us the diverse species of our Fuegian flora, we will arrive at Roca Lake and we will take a walk bordering the lake and the Lapataia River, its natural drainage. From this point the landscape is dominated by the Cerro Condor, whose peak is the border with the Republic of Chile. We will go to the other end of the Park, where National Route 3 ends, in Lapataia Bay, where we will observe the Green Lagoon and the Black Lagoon, an imposing peat bog in formation. Finally we will go through the beaver dam, whose path will lead us to Lapataia Bay. Once finished, return to the hotel.

Day 5: Ushuaia - EL CALAFATE

Day 6: EL CALAFATE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the early hours of the morning we will start the tour TODO GLACIARES (regular service). Undoubtedly one of the unmissable visits in the destination. It starts heading west and after traveling 45 km (28 miles) you will arrive at Puerto de la Cruz in Punta Bandera. The catamaran is boarded and navigation begins, entering the North Arm of Lake Argentino to navigate between icebergs to the front of the Upsala Glacier, the largest in the National Park. Then we navigate the Spegazzini Channel to see the Seco and Spegazzini glaciers, which is the highest in the Park, and the South Heim. Continuing the navigation, you will arrive at the front of the north wall of the Moreno Glacier, to enjoy from there the immensity and majesty of the most recognized glacier in the world. After enough time to appreciate and even feel this beautiful spectacle, we return to Punta Bandera, then passengers board the buses that take them to the hotels in El Calafate. Lodging. Currently there is an iceberg barrier that prevents the approach to the front of the Upsala Glacier and access to Bahía Onelli, which results in the modification of the tour route. However, the continuous detachment of ice blocks from the Upsala Glacier makes it necessary to define the navigation route each day. The Onelli shelter will remain closed until further notice, so it is recommended to hire food for lunch.

Very early in the morning we start the tour to the PERITO MORENO GLACIER (regular service), leaving from the hotel to the Park, after 40 Km (25 miles) we arrive at the entrance of the "Los Glaciares National Park". This is one of the richest natural regions of Argentina: the Selva Misionera, which, outside the limits of the country, is called Selva Paranaense. The infrastructure built to receive tourists is in the so-called "Waterfalls Area" of the Park. In 2001, footbridges and trails were inaugurated to facilitate access to the most attractive points and reduce environmental degradation. The transport of people in the Park is done with a gas-powered train -whose environmental impact is minimal- and that is how the now popularly known "Ecological Little Train" was born. Visitors have access to the train at no additional cost. There are direct train schedules from the Central Station to Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat), in about 18 minutes. Then, walk along the footbridges for 1200 meters (0.75 mile) to delight them with the spectacular balcony of the most important waterfall of Cataratas, the Devil's Throat. There is time for lunch (at the passenger's expense), and to walk the lower and upper circuits. After the tours, return to the Visitor's Center, where you board the vehicle for transfer to the Hotel. It covers an area of 185,000 hectares (7100 square miles) and is accessed from Avenida das Cataratas in Foz do Iguaçu. Upon arrival at the Visitor's Center, tourists have a shuttle service that will take them through the jungle to the area where the Falls can be seen. The vehicles allow you to enjoy the view dominated by the abundant subtropical vegetation. At the end of the route is the circuit of footbridges and the viewpoint from where it is possible to appreciate the imposing panoramic view of the San Martin Island and the Falls. This circuit is 1,200 meters (0.8 mile) long and has steps. There is an elevator here that allows views from different angles. The tour takes approximately 3 hours.
